Training of Inspectors in flight procedures

This training session which started on November 7 at the Training School of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority is part of a series of training contained in the agreement that exists between the CCAA and the African and Malagasy Authorities of Civil Aviation (AAMAC).

As for this session, it is a question of training the inspectors so that in the long term they fully play their role in the field.

It is therefore a question of equipping the inspectors of the air navigation services in charge of the flight procedures (ANS) of the AAMACs, so that they are able to carry out the activities of supervision (of the provision of the PAN OPS services) of their domain in accordance with international requirements and procedures applicable to the African and Malagasy Civil Aviation Authorities (AAMAC).

It should be noted that the courses are designed and developed according to the ICAO trainer plus method. And, they are taught by three seasoned CCAA senior inspector instructors.

Learner Inspectors come from several African countries, including Burkina Faso, Gabon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Togo, Senegal, Chad, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and Equatorial Guinea.

The CCAA Training School is Trainair plus certified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This grants it access to nearly 400 standardized courses. It has modern facilities to facilitate learning and three training centers in Yaoundé, Douala and Garoua.

After this session, which ends on November 11, 2022, four others requested by the AAMACs will follow in the coming weeks until December 2022.

It should be noted that the Executive Secretary of AAMAC visited the CCAA Training School in August 2022.
